20. Be constantly mindful diligent and resourceful in your pursuit of th THE WAY
From the first breath you take to your last your are trying to find your TAO or your Way in life. This has nothing to do if you study a Martial Art or not.
Karate will help you find it because it develops a understanding of mind, body and spirit. However, we are all students of karate if we know it or not.
The lessons taught by karate are not that much different than those taught by major world religions or laws set up by Governments of the world. Basically be good, help out others, help out your friends and take care of yourself.
Many of us have different ideas on where the TAO takes us or even what path the TAO is on but never question we are all on that path.
One who studies karate should look at every aspect of their life and see how it relates to karate and how karate relates to their life. If you are always looking for the TAO you will be mindful when you discover it. As to where those not in karate may stumble upon their TAO by mistake or overlook it for years before they realize the TAO was in front of them all along.
